The Securities Settlement Specialist is responsible for processing the daily operations of trust activities. This checker role ensures that all trust operations are conducted efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Securities Trade Settlement: Process the settlement of securities trades, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Corporate Actions: Manage corporate actions such as dividends, stock splits, and mergers, ensuring all actions are processed correctly and in a timely manner.
- Securities Creation Process: Coordinate the creation of new securities, working closely with relevant departments to ensure all necessary steps are completed.
- Regulatory Reporting: Handle all aspects of regulatory reporting to ensure compliance with local regulations.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure all trust operations comply with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies. Identify and mitigate operational risks.

Role Description and purpose
This role manages and oversees operational activities for our onshore discretionary investment management (DIM) Portfolios / funds in Taiwan. This includes coordination with both internal and external parties and any services from third party service providers to deliver fund services to our clients. In addition, this role also works closely with portfolio managers, dealers and trade support team to oversee order and trades settlement process for listed securities and derivatives products, monitor fund accounting activities, validate NAV & regulatory reports,
Role will also support operations activity in the region & act as a back up for the distribution business & COO activities for Taiwan.
key responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the end-to-end daily operations for onshore DIM Portfolio/ funds, including Fund Administration, Transfer Agency, other Middle Office functions and any services from third party service providers.
- Work closely with regional & global teams in developing the local business needs & delivering the day-to-day services for the local portfolios & global & regional portfolios.
- Support change management including new DIM Portfolio/ funds launches and terminations, in coordination with all stakeholders (internal and external) to ensure seamless execution in compliance with regulatory & group expectation.
- Manage and oversee post execution trade lifecycle, including order processing, trade settlement, corporate actions, valuation, fund accounting etc, performed by internal teams and external providers.
- Promptly respond to queries from the internal teams (investment management, client services) and provide solutions to the issues encountered by the investment teams.

Essential qualifications & experience

Role Description and purpose
Act as the Portfolio Manager of Discretionary Managed Accounts (DMA) with dedication in equity portfolio management, the Portfolio Manager shall be equipped with domestic equity products including both direct and indirect lines and own research capability with the leverage of group’s internal resources. Assist the Head of DIM (Discretionary Investment Management), Taiwan to drive the business – analyzing client’s request and conducting research for the insurance clients, to make optimal target-oriented investment decision and to achieve client satisfaction. Responsible for the day to day portfolio management based on the team’s investment views and client’s specific objectives and constraints. The PM will also work closely with the Asian and EM equities team including sharing of investment ideas, analysis at stock level, sector reviews, key themes and risks. The PM will also work with Front Office Risk management team based in HK led by the Head of Investment Office, Asia Pacific.

The CIB business includes Global Banking and Global Markets. The Global Banking Operations team supports operationally our Global Banking business (across Loans, Trade Services, Cash Management) via these 2 teams:
- Cash Management Operations
- Trade Services & Loan Operations.
- The Cash Management Operations specializes in the processing and regulatory reporting of FCY and TWD remittances, in line with Financial Security policies, applicable FSC/CBC regulations, Clients’ requirements, ALM Treasury requirements etc.
- This team works closely with Business (Cash Management business head, corporate coverage), ALM Treasury, other operations teams and IT. The Taiwan team is a team of 6, supported by regional teams (Singapore, India).

Payment & Cash Management Operation mandates
- To be responsible for supervising first level checking on daily process on inward, outward remittance , Cheque and Time deposit transactions to comply with regulatory requirement.
- To check daily FX position , daily CBC report and monthly regulatory reports.
- Perform control and monitoring through various reports for payment , maturity , settlement , interest and follow up irregular transactions and pending issues.
- To coordinate with Nearshoring centre India for any query and new UAT testing.
