BNP Paribas’ presence in Taiwan dates back to 1981 when it opened its first office in Taipei, followed by the addition of a second branch in Kaohsiung in 1991.  Fully operational since early 2014, BNP Paribas Taichung Branch is a strategic complement to the existing branches network in Taipei and Kaohsiung.  Today, over 700 people work in Taipei, Taichung, and Kaohsiung to provide comprehensive financial solutions to a wide range of clients including corporates, financial institutions, and individuals.

In Taiwan, BNP Paribas’ Corporate & Institutional Banking specialises in capital markets, advisory, global transaction banking and financing businesses. The Bank’s wholly owned subsidiary in the USA, Bank of the West, also has a representative office in Taiwan.

In insurance area, BNP Paribas also boasts a strategic partnership with Taiwan
Cooperative Financial Holdings through an equity joint-venture, holding a 49%
stake in BNP Paribas Cardif TCB Life.”
